Are Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev back together? Such is the question of the fans of 'The Vampire Diaries' couple. According to reports, the 'Lost' actor has lost Dobrev twice in 2013. Despite news that Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev are back together, insiders claim that the Canadian beauty is actually spending much time with another ex-boyfriend, Derek Hough.

TVD's Elena Gilbert is reportedly with her 'Dancing with the Stars' ex-beau during the holiday season. Hough's younger sister, Julianne, is Dobrev's best friend which explains the whole family's closeness to the brunette beauty. However, this will not stop Somerhalder from trying to win back her former lady love.

According to insiders, Somerhalder is merely waiting for the right time to show his affections to the Bulgaria-born actress. It is allegedly a part of his resolution to win Dobrev back.

After the couple's breakup, no girl has replaced Dobrev in Somerhalder's life except for the latter's newfound dog, Nietzsche. One of the reasons why they reportedly broke up was the 10-year age gap. Somerhalder wanted to settle down already but Dobrev wanted to take things slow.

"Ian was starting to talk marriage while Nina's just getting started on her career. Nina still loves him but isn't ready to make that huge commitment," one insider previously revealed to In Touch Weekly magazine.

Since Somerhalder and Dobrev recently spend much time with each other for the filming of 'The Vampire Diaries' Season 5, will there be a reconciliation soon?
