Alyssa Milano Accepts Jay Mohr's Fat Joke Apology on Twitter, If It Comes With Cookies

Alyssa Milano accepted Jay Mohr's apology for a fat joke he made at her expense, but the former "Charmed" star did it with her tongue in cheek rather than in cheese cake. Alyssa Milano took to Twitter to say she had to squeeze out of her Spanx to respond.

Alyssa Milano wants a little more than an apology from Jay Mohr, she'd like a cookie.

Comedian and "Suburgatory" actor Jay Mohr got heckled for making a joke about Alyssa Milano's post-baby weight. When Twitter exploded with charges that the joke was tasteless Mohr apologized to Milano. At length.

The 43-year-old actor posted a long to Alyssa Milano on his blog. Mohr wrote "Comedians have a hole on their insides that can only be filled by generating constant content that is, many times, improvised in the moment. Unfortunately, in rare instances, it causes irreparable harm. I had thought (incorrectly) in an improvisational moment, that the incongruousness of my statements, when held up to the light of how beautiful Alyssa Milano is, would have been funny given that she is the size of a thimble. It wasn't funny. Knowing that Alyssa, as well as her family, friends, fans, and especially her husband, heard things that were hurtful from my mouth crushed me. She has always been one of the kindest, most caring and beautiful people this town has ever seen. I will not make excuses for what I said. Although I immediately removed that segment from my podcast, it still doesn't change the results. I know full well how much words can hurt people, having seen my wife get destroyed by the tabloids, and I am embarrassed that I didn't think before I spoke. Alyssa is an extraordinarily beautiful person-both inside and out. Alyssa is a mother, a wife, an actress, and a class act that should always be celebrated. Sometimes comedians go too far. I went too far. I cannot change what I said, but I can assure you that my heart is broken that I hurt her. I am very sorry. With the utmost sincerity, Jay Mohr"

Alyssa responded ".@jaymohr37 Thank you. Apology accepted. ... (She grunts while aggressively yet cautiously prying off her head-to-toe Spanx). #PassTheCookies"

According to reports, Jay Mohr made some jokes about Alyssa Milano when they two were at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards last month in Las Vegas. Milano took to Twitter to put the comedian in his place ... nicely.

Willie Geist of TODAY reported that Jay Mohr made remarks about Milano's post-baby weight when he was on a radio show. Mohr said "Alyssa was small in stature, but that she'd put on weight or something like that."

On Christmas Day, Milano took to Twitter to hit back at the comedian, tweeting "So sorry you felt the need to publicly fat-shame me. Be well and God Bless. Please send my love to your beautiful wife."

Alyssa Milano is well-known for being a Hollywood beauty. She inspired the design or Ariel in Disney's "The Little Mermaid" when she was still a child actress. When she was a teenager Alyssa made the covers of beauty and fan magazines. Alyssa Milano, still a beauty at 41, had her first child, son Milo, in August 2011. Mohr, 43, and his wife, actress Nikki Cox, have two children together.

According to the New York Daily News, during a radio interview at the NASCAR show in Las Vegas on Dec. 6, Mohr said "She was one of the presenters. ... She's very tiny. In height. It seems like she had a baby and said, 'I don't really give a sh--' ... I read it on her gut."

Mohr went on to call Alyssa "Melissa" saying "'Melissa what's-her-name was very nice but didn't look so great. Somebody sat in the director's chair and was not wearing Spanx and I was like, 'Jesus Christ.'"

Milano's former Charmed co-star Rose McGowan tweeted her support for Milano, in between chasing down knockout game attackers. McGowan asked if Milano wanted her to "kick someone's a--."
