iPhone 6 Rumors: Upcoming Smartphone Rumored To Detect Sound Waves And Proximity Of Objects, Might Also Come With Rounded Screen

For the past few weeks, there has been a decent amount of supply as far as iPhone 6 rumors are concerned. And because most of these rumors are very intriguing, a lot of Apple fans, as well as tech enthusiasts in general, are already looking forward for more rumors and updates regarding Apple's next flagship phone.

Now, a new report is pointing to an alleged sonar technology that will be embedded within the upocming iPhone.

In a report by IB Times, the US patent office has passed Apple's application late last year, which enables the Cupertino manufacturer to include sonar sensors in the device's screen.

If this technology is able to work fine, iPhone 6 users would be able to use sonar technology to detect nearby objects. Using passive sonar, users may even 'assign' the phone to turn itself off when near something, or even map out an entire room. Such features certainly sound sci-fi-ish, but as technology continues to move forward, it would not be surprising to see manufacturers applying the feature this year.

In addition, the report also claims that the new iPhone 6 will have a rounded display, which could be similar to either the LG G Flex or the Samsung Galaxy Round. This could mean that Apple would be joining the curved display bandwagon which was started by the two Korean tech rivals.

While all of these alleged specs are just rumors, it is definitely exciting to picture a smartphone that will feature such functions. We'll continue to check out more updates for you in the coming weeks.
