Minecraft PS4 Release Date Set For Summer 2014 Alongside Xbox One And PS Vita Versions; Avengers Skin Pack For Xbox 360 Edition Coming Soon; Trial Version Available For Free

Minecraft PS4 release date is set for 2014.

According to Ping! Zine, 4J Studios revealed on Christmas Eve that Minecraft PS4 release date, as well as the Xbox One and PS Vita versions will be set for some time in 2014. The game studio that also ported Minecraft to Xbox 360 shared,

"We'll be back in 2014 to continue work on #MinecraftXBLA, #MinecraftPS3, #MinecraftXbox1, #MinecraftPS4 and #MinecraftPSVita."

Moreover, a more specific Minecraft PS4 release date was posted on Examiner, citing a report on Nintendo Entusiast. Particularly, it is expected that Minecraft PS4 release date will be slated at some point between June and September, as the alleged report reads, "The projected release for all three systems is summer 2014."

Aside from the Xbox 360 Edition, Minecraft is now available to PlayStation 3 consoles. Minecraft: PS3 Edition was released on December 17, and accordingly, it already has more than 'half a million' players.

As for other Minecraft news, a new DLC pack is coming to Xbox 360 version of the game. According to Sidh Tech, one day after the release of Minecraft PS3, Microsoft Studios revealed screenshots of what seems to be a skin pack exclusive for the Xbox 360 edition of the open-world sandbox game.

As posted on Cinema Blend, a Marvel Comics-themed DLC will be available for Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition soon. Reportedly, The Avengers Skin Pack will bring in "several character skins based on famous heroes and villains from Marvel lore." Specifically, the Avengers Skin Pack for Minecraft Xbox 360 will include 35 characters such as Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Nick Fury, Loki, Hawkeye and more.

There is no specific release date announced for the Minecraft Xbox 360 "Avengers" Skin Pack yet. However, when it comes to pricing, the Avengers content will most likely be available for $2.99.
