Upcoming Android Tablets 2014: Samsung Galaxy Note Pro Allegedly Appears In Patent Application For Convertible Dock Cover

As we approach the CES this year in Las Vegas, we would surely get to see more upcoming Android tablets for 2014. But even before the event actually begins, we have already been getting lots of rumors about Samsung's Galaxy Note Pro slate.

With a display of 12.2 inches, the Android slate would be the manufacturer's largest tablet yet. And now, it looks like we have everything but the official announcement from Samsung.

In a report by Android Authority, a patent has recently been awarded to Samsung in South Korea which is closely related to the rumored tablet.

In the report, MovePlayer published several images of a tablet whose dimensions are similar to the purported Galaxy Note Pro. The site also mentioned that Samsung submitted a patent application to the Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service (KIPRIS) in August, and was approved in November.

According to the report, the patent is a new tablet cover that can be converted into dock which would be able to support the hefty weight of the device. Considering the previous images which are connected to the 12.2-inch slate, the metal frame and build would surely tip the scales so a sturdy and durable dock and cover would be necessary.

It is just days away from CES and we are hoping to get more information about Samsung's Android tablet as the event progresses.
