Upcoming Sony Phones 2014: Rumored Sony Sirius Allegedly Boasts Snapdragon 805, 2K Display, 3GB RAM, Android KitKat, Could Be Announced During CES

We have not been hearing (or reading) a lot about upcoming Sony phones in 2014, but one thing is for sure - the Japanese manufacturer would surely be ready to take on the giants of the market.

And it looks like it's just a few days until we finally see Sony's newest flagship.

In a recent report from GSM Arena, the Sony Droid which is dubbed as Sirius, could be making an appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Tuesday.

For the past few weeks, there have been rumors that the Sony Sirius would be a serious threat for the competition as it boasts top-of-the-line features and specifications. The upcoming Sony phone would allegedly sport a 5.2" display with 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution, the latest Snapdragon 805 SoC, 3GB of RAM, and a 20.7MP G Lens camera which Sony is known for.

Other rumored specs include a huge 3,500mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

Meanwhile, the Japanese company is said to announce another flagship around May, and is codenamed Canopus.

2014 has just begun but it looks like it would be another successful year for the Android market with new releases from Samsung, HTC, LG and Sony.
