Madonna’s Instagram Photo Of Son Rocco Encourages Underage Drinking? Queen Of Pop Causes New Controversy With The Snap!

Social media users slammed Madonna's Instagram photo of son Rocco for allegedly encouraging underage drinking. The Queen of Pop is facing yet another controversy for failing to become a role model for her 13-year-old son.

The criticisms stemmed from the controversial Instagram photo posted by Madonna showing Rocco clutching a bottle of Bombay Sapphire gin, along with two of his friends who were also showing vodka bottles to the camera.

Madonna captioned the photo: "The party has just begun! Bring it! 2014."

It wasn't the first time Rocco was snapped alongside alcohol, Daily Mail reported. Just three days after Madonna posted the photo, her son posted an Instagram photo of himself and another friend holding a glass of champagne; and another beside an alcohol cabinet along with the caption: "faded."

After the messages flooded her Instagram, Madonna again posted a photo of Rocco and his friends this time just hamming it up for the camera.

She also wrote a message for her followers:

"No-one was drinking, we were just having fun! Calm down and get a sense of humour! Don't start the year off with judgement!"

Madonna spent the New Year holiday in a ski resort in Gstaad, Switzerland along with her four children: Lourdes, 17, Rocco, 13, David Banda, 8 and Chifundo James, 8. The drinking age in Switzerland is 16 years old, according to Radar Online.

Daily Mail added that Madonna confessed to TV host Brian Williams that she isn't a strict parent. "I think I am [tough], but honestly I don't think I'm as tough as I should be. I think I need to be maybe tougher. It's hard though. Everyday is a negotiation," she said.

Madonna was Forbes' top female earner after she earned $125 million between June 2012 and June 2013 due to her concert tour and merchandise sales from her clothing line.
