iPad Pro Rumors: Samsung Immediately Takes One Step Ahead Of Apple In 12" Tablet Duel

For the past few weeks, we have been hearing lots of iPad Pro rumors about Apple's alleged 12.9-inch tablet. However, at CES 2014, its bitterest rival Samsung has already made its move in the 12-inch tablet division.

Dubbed as the Galaxy Note Pro, the Samsung tablet boasts top-of-the-line features and specifications. But would it be able to match with Apple's iPad Pro once it actually gets released some time this year?

First, Apple may not be at the very least worried with the Note Pro's release mainly because it does not target the same market the Samsung slate does. According to recent rumors, the iPad Pro would likely replace the company's MacBook Air lineup once it is released.

Second, it looks like Apple is aiming the rumored iPad Pro at the enterprise and education markets, while the Galaxy Note Pro is still targeting the usual market for Android tablets.

Third, rumors point out that Apple might merge OS X with iOS and use it for the iPad Pro. This will enable the tablet to run both OS X and iOS apps, which would be essential if it would really have the tablet-laptop hybrid label.

Of course, all of these points are still unconfirmed until Apple makes an official announcement about its 12.9-inch tablet.
