Penelope Cruz, Husband Javier Bardem’s Baby Prevents ‘Even Three’ Hours Of Sleep For Couple, But Enjoying ‘Every Second’

Penelope Cruz and her husband Javier Bardem welcomed their second baby six months ago, and since then haven't gotten more than a few hours of sleep a night. But Penelope Cruz says she and her husband Javier Bardem are loving every second with their new baby and son.

Spanish actors Penelope Cruz, 39, and her husband Javier Bardem,44, welcomed their daughter, Luna, last summer. According to The Mirror, Penelope gets "not even three" hours of sleep a night, but says she and husband Javier are happier than ever.

"I don't mind," she said. "It fills you so much it doesn't matter that you're always exhausted. It gives you so much happiness. You want to enjoy every second."

The Spanish power couple also has a three-year-old son, Leonardo.

Penelope recently revealed that she's "addicted" to breastfeeding her daughter: "I'm supposed to get extra calories because with breastfeeding you burn an extra 500 a day," Cruz told the January 2014 issue of Allure. "I was breastfeeding my son 13 months, and I plan to do the same with my daughter. [Nursing] is addictive. It's hard when the day comes when you have to stop."

The Examiner reports that despite her thriving acting career, Penelope said family is her top priority. "I always knew I wanted a family because of the way I grew up," she said. "Family has always been the most important thing."

She expressed similar feelings to The Mirror: "I was always on a movie set so I was always another character and I was feeling very empty," Penelope admitted. "I wasn't enjoying the work so much... I was going from set to set. I was never in my house and I didn't have a life.

"I changed that about six years ago because it wasn't making me very happy. You need to have time for your own life and as a mother that changes even more.

"Family is the most important thing for me... and if you have children you want to raise them yourself."
