Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date In 2016? Rumors Suggest 2015 Will Be The ‘Soonest’ The Game Is Finalized

Kingdom Hearts 3's release date may not be announced until 2015 and may come as far away as 2016, several gamers predicted in a recent forum.

"...he [Tetsuya Nomura] has said that late 2015 is the SOONEST the game will be released, and it's not very likely the game will be released until 2016," one gamer wrote on a GameFaqs.com board.

"I say 2015 because KH3 most likely won't be released until 2016," another fan posted.

Kingdom Hearts 3 developer Tetsuya Nomura announced that the game will continue to receive new upgrades and will have keyblade capabilities with "infinite possibilities, Siliconera.com reports.

"It seems like everyone was happy, so I'm glad about that," Nomura said, according to the site.

"However, while we know how far we've come from a development point of view, what we showed still has 'ways to go'."

Kingdom Hearts 3's ending will include a battle between the key-blade warriors and Xenahorts where Sora travels back in time to the earlier "final battle," Redditor PB31 predicts, according to MonitoringCrunch.com.

"Sora may travel back even further to stop a younger Xenahorts ending up in the bad side," the website writes.

"The time travel explains a lot of Xenahort's back-story - he was actually a key-blade wielder before going over to the dark side."

Kingdom Hearts 3 director Tetsuya Nomura revealed more information about keyblade transformations during a recent interview.

"In the trailer, we saw it transform into the shape of a gun, but there are also some other unbelievable transformations," Nomura said during an interview with Siliconera.

He adds with a laugh, "The other day, when we were checking it out, the staff member said 'it turns into ____' and I impulsively replied with, 'Are you serious?'" the website also reports.

"According to suggestions from the planning side, it'll likely be used as some sort of gimmick. The Keyblade has infinite possibilities."
