Prince Harry’s Beard: Girlfriend Cressida Bonas Loves It, Queen Of England Hates It? Will He Have To Shave It Soon?

Prince Harry's beard has been making headlines ever since he returned from his charity trek to the South Pole - the Queen of England reportedly hates Prince Harry's beard, while his girlfriend Cressida Bonas loves it?

Prince Harry, 29, grew out his ginger beard last month while on his Walking With The Wounded charity trek to the South Pole. Express reports that upon returning to Britain for the holidays at the Queen's Sandringham estate, his brother Prince William and sister-in-law Kate said they loved his "Windsor whiskers," and apparently so does his girlfriend Cressida Bonas.

However, his grandmother is not too keen.

"The rest of the family liked it and were taking the mickey, especially his cousin Zara who dubbed him 'Prince Hairy'," said a royal insider, Express reports.

"But the Queen soon let her displeasure be known. She doesn't mind royal men growing beards when they are away in the Armed Forces or out in the wilds like Harry was in the Antarctic, but she expects them to be clean-shaven when they get home.

"Royal staff are not supposed to grow beards or moustaches and she probably thinks it is difficult to enforce that rule when her own grandson has a beard.

So will Prince Harry be shaving his beard sometime soon, to please the Queen?

"Harry doesn't like to upset the Queen and will probably shave it off soon but he is still a bit of a rebel and he wasn't going to remove it straight away," the insider continued. "He wanted to show it off to Cressida first and see what she thought of it."

Servants are discouraged from growing facial hair.

"It is frowned upon," said one member of the Buckingham Palace staff, Express reports. "You are told not to grow a beard or moustache and that comes from the top.

"It would not go down well if you tried it on. The Queen thinks they look scruffy and are inappropriate at work."

Meanwhile, Cressida, 24, is reportedly vacationing on Sir Richard Branson's Necker Island in the Caribbean. Perhaps Prince Harry will join her to show off his beard!
