Rihanna Shakira Duet Song Releasing on January 13, 2014

Rihanna Shakira duet song has been officially confirmed and is releasing on January 13, 2014. RiRi and Shaks took to their social media networks to announce the release date of their brand new collaboration “Can’t Remember To Forget You.”

The ‘Unapologetic’ singer posted the new song duet graphic to her Instagram account, along with the caption “One. Week. Countdown. ”

Her latest collaborator Shakira tweeted the same, along with quotes, “You guys ready? Jan 13 is almost here! ¿Están listos? El 13 de Enero se acerca / @Rihanna -#rememberforget Shak.”

The confirmation, coming right from the artists, created a rage amongst the fans who were waiting for some lead on the speculated duet song. Last year in December, Pitbull had leaked that Shakira and Rihanna were working together on a new song, because of which RiRi could not be a part of his project ‘Timber.’

"That is an ironic situation there. The person we were looking at first to work on that record was actually Rihanna, and Rihanna had something she had to do with Shakira, so she wasn't able to work on our record," said Pitbull.

Around the same time, Shakira had tweeted that she finalized the video for her latest single with Joseph Kahn. The fans put two and two together to speculate that Shakira and Rihanna are collaborating on the new single. However, in the absence of an official confirmation, nobody knew whether this would happen for real.

Rihanna is also, reportedly, working on her new album, as revealed by DJ Mustard, who is collaborating with the "Monster" singer on one of the singles. As quoted in EntertainmentWise, DJ Mustard said, “I’m finally going in with Rihanna,” later adding, “I’ll just keep making beats ’till she figure it out. But she’s gonna get one.”
