‘Batman Vs Superman’ Cast Rumors -Jason Momoa Denies Involvement With 'Man Of Steel' Sequel; Admits Auditioning For Marvel Movie Role

'Batman Vs Superman' has had more than its share of cast rumors. Only Batman and Wonder Woman are the confirmed additions, but the rumor mill has spurned out enough actors and characters to fill out another sequel. One prevalent name in the mix is Jason Momoa of "Games Of Thrones" fame.

The gigantic actor recently talked to IGN to address the rumors:

"It's just rumors. I want to say something amazing, but I can't comment on rumors. It's flattering. (But) I'm not involved in it."

He then reflects on whether he was partly at fault of spreading the rumors: "Maybe that's how it came out. Maybe someone said, 'You should be in this!' and I said, 'Yeah that would be great!' And it just went too far."

He does admit to auditioning for a superhero movie, but it's in an entirely different territory: "I mean you audition for things. I auditioned for it. I think it's the kind of like, 'He's a big guy that does action, and he's gonna fit in somewhere.'" The role in question is Drax The Destroyer that eventually went to Dave Batista.

There is an impression that all Hollywood stars would like to be a part of a franchise or tentpole project. Aside from the big budget that stems from the certainty of box-office success, the studios offer multi-picture contracts which ensure work and exposure for the actors.

Thus, when Momoa did not get the part, it was speculated that he would seek a similar role on the other fence.

Of course, that does not mean that he will not join a superhero franchise. He is also rumored for another DC based project: Lobo. Most comic fans describe him as  DC's answer to both Wolverine, Ghost Rider and the Punisher. The character would translate well to the big screen: From the DC Universe wiki:
