NBA Trade Rumors - Final Destination For NBA Veteran Could Be Minnesota Or Sacramento; Nuggets Pull Trigger On Trade Before The All Star Break?

Andre Miller is too old to stay in the freezer. The Denver Nuggets may finally make the decision on where to send him soon. As soon as two weeks from now, before the All-Star break.

Which two teams are interested in the grizzled veteran? The Minnesota Timberwolves and the Sacramento Kings.  For the Minnesota Timberwolves, Sports World ran this report:

"ESPN's Darren Wolfson reports that NBA sources believe Miler will be sent to either the Kings or the Timberwolves sometime before the deadline once a deal is finally worked out. Miller has been on the Kings' radar for a month now, while Minnesota is fairly new to the race. Miller was linked to Golden State at one point, but the Warriors opted to sign Jordan Crawford instead as part of a three-team trade. f the Timberwolves could land him, paring the veteran behind Ricky Rubio could help the young star develop."

For the Sacramento Kings, Sactown Royalty breaks down their actual roster situation:

"That seems to indicate the Kings interest in Miller has not yet waned. Jimmer Fredette has been playing better as of late, but still shows the most promise as a scorer rather than as a distributor.

Since the Rudy Gay trade, the Kings sit at 13 players, so the Kings can't send out more players than they receive in any deal. Jason Thompson is the only (available) King that could be traded for Miller straight up. If Thornton or Jimmer are involved, the trade would have to include more than just Andre Miller (and in Jimmer's case, more from the Kings).

The trade deadline is just a month away, and All-Star break is even sooner than that, so we'll see if there is any truth to this latest rumor sooner rather than later."

Sacramento's local writers aren't jumping up and down at the rumor. Kings management are still looking for solid veteran presence to join their young guns. Or it could also be a salary dump, as Miller is only guaranteed for $2 million next year.

In terms of game play, most of the Sacramento faithful would rather stick it out with the young players.
