Install Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update On Samsung Galaxy S4; GT-I9505 Receives New Custom Firmware, Omega ROM

Users of Samsung Galaxy S4 can now install Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.

Although not an official firmware, Samsung Galaxy S4 users who wish to install Android 4.4 KitKat update on their smartphone can already do so via a custom ROM. Thanks to Android developers, a custom firmware based on Android 4.4.2 XXUFNA5 build is already available for Samsung Galaxy S4.

As posted on Phone Arena, the officially available OS for Samsung Galaxy S4 are Android 4.2.2 and 4.3 Jelly Bean. But via Omega ROM v21.1, Samsung Galaxy S4 users can now opt to install Android 4.4.2 KitKat update, allowing them to experience the latest mobile operating system from Google. Particularly, the custom firmware is compatible with Galaxy S4 bearing the model number GT-I9505.

According to International Business Times, the latest Omega ROM based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat update brings in various bug fixes and improvements on the features over the previously released Omega ROM version.
