Upcoming Android Tablets 2014: Taiwanese Manufacturer Reportedly Tapped To Work On Next Nexus Tablet

LG and Asus may have been working on the latest Nexus deviecs, but that will not stop Google from looking for other partners. In a new report, the search giant is rumored to have tapped HTC to work on one of the upcoming Android tablets in 2014 - a Nexus slate.

HTC has not been doing well for the past two years, with most of the blame going to a poor marketing strategy. However, the Taiwanese manufacturer continues to produce stunning and high quality devices.

That is one ingredient Google wants for its Nexus lineup.

However, HTC immediately refused to comment on the said speculation. Bloggers and industry watchers are predicting that Google will launch more Nexus devices this year as a last stand for the lineup.

Recent reports are claiming that Google wants to focus more on its Google Play Edition lineup of smartphones and tablets, though the company has yet to comment about it.
