How Much Do Super Bowl 2014 Commercials Cost? Budweiser ‘Puppy Love’ Ad Regains Its Airtime Investment After Being Deemed As Most Watched Commercial

With millions of viewers tuning in to Super Bowl, it is inevitable that advertisers will similarly try hard to get prime spots for their commercials. When Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks dueled in last week's Super Bowl XLVIII, viewers similarly waited for the Super Bowl 2014 commercials.

According to reports, the cost of airtime for the Super Bowl 2014 commercials did not increase. Paul Farhi of The Washington Post estimates each 30-second spot to be priced at $4 million.

Companies which took advantage of the massive viewership included Anheuser-Busch InBev, Audi, Cheerios, Chevrolet, Coca-Cola, Doritos, Go Daddy, M&M's, Toyota, and Volkswagen.

"The [Super Bowl] pricing this year was very, very aggressive. The pricing has gone crazy," claims Subway's chief marketing officer Tony Pace.

Liquor corporation Budweiser was able to attain its exposure goal. With nearly 50 million YouTube views, the Budweiser 'Puppy Love' commercial is considered as the most successful Super Bowl 2014 commercial.

Created by New York-based agency Anomaly, the Budweiser 'Puppy Love' ad is a touching portrayal of an unusual friendship between a horse and a puppy. Cast and crew members previously said that they needed to train the animals for weeks to ensure that they would follow the cues.

According to Unruly's Viral Video Chart, Budweiser's 'Puppy Love' ad has generated 1.38 million social media shares which made it the sixth most shared Super Bowl commercial of all time.
