According to a report by Gotta Be Mobile, there was a Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update that emerged yesterday. It’s unclear though if the upgrade will be available for users as there is no definite rollout date to be found.

GBM notes that since November, they have been tracking the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean updates for the Samsung Galaxy S3, the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The updates have completed their rollouts in the U.S. last year, but there are still some updates that remains unreleased to the public.

This year, there were some missing updates emerging from the shadows, GBM says. The updates may have a future release date. These increment new enhancements to the mobile OS serve as enhancements and fixtures to the device.

Vodafone Australia has confirmed an upcoming upgrade for the Samsung Galaxy S3, informing users that the update for GT-I9300T, the 3G model, is now undergoing testing. The Australian carrier regularly update its software page every week, which confirms that the new 4.3 updates are recent and could potentially mean a roll out will arrive within the next couple of weeks.

There was recently a Samsung Galaxy Nexus Android 4.3 update that was just approved and will soon be rolled out.

GBM notes that when the Android 4.3 update arrives, it will bring the device from Android 4.1 Jelly Bean all the way to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, skipping Android 4.2.2 in the process. Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 skipped Android 4.2 Jelly Bean for Android 4.3.

It’s anticipated that the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update will be followed by Android 4.4 KitKat. Rumors suggest that it will arrive to Samsung Galaxy S3 in the month of March, a few months after the company is expected to debut the Samsung Galaxy S5 at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
