Upcoming LG Phones 2014: Release Date For G Pro 2 Way Sooner As Manufacturer Sends Invites For February 13 Event, Handset Expected To Among The Best In The Market

Previously slated to launch at the MWC event in Barcelona, one of the upcoming LG phones for 2014 may be seeing daylight much sooner.

In a recent report by GSM Arena, LG has sent invites for an event that will take place in Korea on February 13. While it has not exactly mentioned the G Pro 2 in the invite, we assume it would be the main course for the said event.

Definitely, we are not blaming LG for releasing the device a couple of weeks earlier than expected. It looks like the 'other' Korean tech giant has learned from previous mistakes and is now trying to correct them one by one.

Last year, LG announced the first generation Optimus Pro, and it was immediately regarded as among the top Android-handsets in the market. Unfortunately, it took LG months before the phone reached the international market, particularly the US.

However, from the looks of it, LG is going full out with this one. And while the event would take place in Korea, we are almost certain the Korean manufacturer would do whatever it takes to bring the phone to other countries as well.

In case you haven't been reading rumors lately, the G Pro 2 has already been seen in an alleged live image, baring its power and volume buttons at the back - much like the G2.

From what we know now, the phone packs a 6-inch display with Full HD resolution, a quad-core CPU, and probably a Snapdragon 800 chipset.

We'll keep you posted on the LG event next week.
