Android 4.4 Kit Kat Release Date Finally Arrives To HTC One Max, Brings Sense 5.5, New UI Improvements, Update Rolling Out Initially In Hong Kong

There has not been any Android 4.4 Kit Kat release date for the HTC One max, but there are reports that the latest Android version has already arrived to the device in Hong Kong.

That may not be much, but it means one thing - Kit Kat would arrive to HTC One max devices in other markets soon, and that includes the United States.

According to a report by Gotte Be Mobile, the update brings a bunch of new features to the already high-end device. Some updates include Sense 5.5, improved user and system performance and better security features.

Kit Kat has also arrived for the HTC One and One max in Malaysia, which means Asia is probably the first region to get the update straight from HTC.

As for carrier versions, Verizon and Sprint are among to roll out updates faster so expect your HTC One max from these carriers to get the update soon.

Announced in October last year, the One max boasts a 5.9-inch frame with similar specs as the HTC One. The only main hardware difference is the inclusion of a fingerprint sensor at the back.

While it was initially slated to take on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, LG G2 and Sony Xperia Z1 head on, it failed due to a few outdated specs, particularly its Snapdragon 600 chipset.
