Game of Thrones Casting News: Dragon Mother Emilia Clarke Hypnotized Producers With A Dance On a Dare To Be the Dragon MILF

Game of Thrones Casting News: Emilia Clarke is the mother of all dragons on the HBO series "Game of Thrones" and they obey. Emilia wasn't the first choice for the dragon MILF that she's become. Clarke danced her way into the part. Emilia Clarke is one hot dragon mama.

Emilia Clarke recently revealed that she got the part on "Game Of Thrones" after she danced "the funky chicken" for HBO suits.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Emilia Clarke owes her acting career to dance from the age of 10. Emilia's dad took her to one of her first auditions on London's West End. Clarke learned at the open call that she had to sing for her supper. The casting agents asked her to perform a song for the role.

Clarke said "I was learning a folk song in school about a donkey, so I decided to sing that. They said, 'Do you know anything more current?' I then gave them my best rendition of the Spice Girls, complete with dance moves - that's where my musical career ended. It made me realize that I wasn't quite ready. I think my parents were trying to give me a healthy dose of realism early on."

Flash forward to years later, Emilia Clarke is auditioning for a role on "Game of Thrones" in front of showrunner and co-creator David Benioff. The dance came up. On a dare, Clarke showed off some of her dancing skills. S

Now, remember, Emilia Clarke wasn't always the first pick for the "Game of Thrones'" Khaleesi, Daenerys Targaryen. HBO was going with Tazmin Merchant, who was in the film "Jane Eyre" and the acclaimed series "The Tudors." Merchant was for the Game Of Thrones.

That was until Benioff and and D.B. Weiss saw Emilia dance.Clarke says "I did the robot, followed by the funky chicken. I think it sealed the deal."

Benioff said Clarke was pretty much in even before she danced because "We needed an actress who could convincingly embody both the timid, voiceless Dany we first meet, and the Mother of Dragons she later becomes. Some of the young women could do fearful but not fearsome-one or two could do the reverse. Only Emilia nailed both."

Not only fearful and fearsome, but how about funny. Khaleesi isn't really a laugh a minute role but the actress Emilia Clarke is a funny girl. She hasn't gotten to explore that on Game of Thrones.

Until now. Maybe.

David Benioff and D.B. Weiss told The Wall Street Journal, "She's effing funny. Does that mean we've written hilarious scenes for her? No. But someone should."
