Hacked Pokemon VS Pokemon Bank: Pokegen, RNG Manipulation, And Bypassing Hacking Check In Transporter And Beyond

Now that Pokemon Bank has been released worldwide, special attention is being paid to the hack check and whether hacked Pokemon can be transferred over.

As many Pokemon fans know, the Pokemon Bank and Transporter has methods of detecting what are likely hacked Pokemon, like shiny legendaries with perfect nature and IVs.

If you are a hardcore hacker and want to continue the long-standing tradition, there are some ways to bypass the Pokemon Bank hack check.

First, Pokejungle reports that websites like Pokedit or programs like Pokegen which have event Pokemon especially built to bypass anti-hacking programs.

In recent generations, Pokegen has become quite popular. It is a data editor which works from a computer. By using an Action Replay, a flashcart, or a GTS sending program, Pokegen can interact with your Pokemon game to edit and manipulate Pokemon.

In general, the rule of thumb is to not go overboard with the perfect IVs and shiny-making, so Pokemon Bank can recognize the hacked Pokemon as a legitimate catch.

The other popular method is what is known as RNG manipulation.

RNG stands for pseudorandom number generation, which is a software's attempt to randomly generate stats and values. However, some Pokemon gamers are able to manipulate the RNG to obtain desired Pokemon.

Because RNG manipulation does not in fact require a third-party device, proponents attest that it is entirely fair to use Pokemon obtained through RNG abuse, but others disagree.

Through such ways, it seems that certain hacked Pokemon are still able to bypass Pokemon Bank.

But what is your opinion on hacking? Is it harmless? Does it defeat the purpose of gaming?
