Bates Motel Season 2 Star Nestor Carbonell 'Blown Away' After Reading Script; Netflix Offers Thriller's Season 1 In February

"Bates Motel" Season 2 star Nestor Carbonell, who plays the mysterious Sheriff Alex Romero, said that he already read six scripts for the coming episodes and he just couldn't put them down as he was just "blown away."

Nestor Carbonell credited the "Bates Motel" creators Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin for coming up with a reimagining of the well-known Alfred Hitchcock classic "Psycho," and for creating a whole new world in White Pines Bay.

As reported in Bates-motel.org, Nestor Carbonell recalled being approached by Carlton Cuse about "Bates Motel" and he wondered how the creators will do a modern-day prequel.

"He sent me the first six scripts and I was blown away from the get go. He'd created a whole new world - it still paid homage to the classic film, but then it had it's own identity," he said.

Nelson Carbonell also said that "Bates Motel" Season 2 will also offer viewers a glimpse into the psyche of Sheriff Romero.

"In the second season, there's more of a window into his dilemma, trying to straddle that world," he said. "On one hand feeling like he has to uphold the law and on the other hand knowing that this town is really stained by this illicit drug trade, and trying to navigate those two."

Meanwhile, Netflix has offered subscribers the chance to rewatch the whole season 1 of the "Bates Motel" starting February 1, according to Huffingtonpost.com.

This month, "Bates Motel" will be in Netflix's roll of movies along with the final season of "Breaking Bad," available on February 15, "The Borgias" Seasons 1-3, "Queer as Folk" The Complete Series, available February 1, "Burn Notice" Season 7, available on Feb. 15; and "The Returned," Season 1 which will be made available on February 24.

According to the official synopsis of "Bates Motel" season 2, episode 1: aside from Norman Bates fixating on the death of Miss Watson, Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga) is obsessed about keeping the motel alive when the plans for a bypass move ahed of schedule. Bradley (Nicola Peltz), meanwhile, "is driven to extremes as she searches for her father's killer," said SpoilerTV.

The second season of the "Bates Motel" is coming on A&E on March 3.
