Nexus 5 Release Date For Red Version Still Unknown As Device Is Currently Out Of Stock, 16GB And 32GB Editions 'Out Of Inventory'

A couple of weeks back, we heard reports of the Nexus 5 release date for its red version. It was officially released last week, but only several days later, stocks are now scarce and there are no indications just yet of it coming back.

According to the report by Android Authority, the stocks for the Nexus 5 red edition are not available at the moment in the US Play Store. We still do not have details about other countries, but we are expecting the red version to arrive just in time for Valentine's Day.

Could it be that Google does not have any plans of producing enough red Nexus 5s to meet the demand? That may be possible, but knowing Google it will use everything in order to increase the sales of its Nexus products.

Another possibility is that the tech giant is already working on the other color versions of the Nexus 5. Earlier reports have mentioned that the current Nexus phone flagship will have several colored editions, red only one of the six reported colors.

If that's the case, then releasing only a single color every period may work in Google's favor. However, once all of the initial stocks of the colored Nexus 5 devices have been released, it would be logical to replenish stocks once more for all of the colored versions.

The LG Nexus 5 is currently one of the top Android phones in the market with its simple yet stylish design, and the stock look of Android 4.4 KitKat. However, several camera and imaging issues have been plaguing the Nexus herophone, and Google has already released two updates to fix the problem.
