Samsung Galaxy S5 Rumors: Alleged Image Of Galaxy S5 Box Leaked, Confirms 2K Display, Quad-Core CPU, Points To 20MP Shooter

There has been lots of Samsung Galaxy S5 rumors floating around, but this one looks like the real deal.

According to a report by GSM Arena, an alleged photo of the box housing the Galaxy S5 has surfaced, baring some of the specs we have been talking about over the past few months.

In the image, the upcoming Samsung flagship boasts 5.25-inch Super AMOLED screen with QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution or otherwise known as 2K display. The Android-powered handset is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core CPU and probably a Snapdragon 800 chipset.

The box also shows that the unannounced Samsung device will pack 3GB of RAM, several connectivity options such as GPS and LTE, and a 3,000mAh battery.

However, what the box shows that has not been in the list of Samsung Galaxy S5 rumors is the 20MP camera. Previous reports claim that the Galaxy S5 will have a 16MP primary camera, though that's not what the box shows.

In the report, the 20MP camera is able to shoot and play Full HD (1920 x 1080) videos which is pretty impressive for a phone. A 2MP front-facing camera tops the spec list featured in the box.

While all these details are certainly exciting, we should not keep our hopes up just yet. We have seen several alleged leaked images in the past which have all been considered shopped.
