NCIS: LA Season 5 Spoilers: Deeks and Kensi On The ‘Night They Spent Together’; Details On Danny Trejo’s Connection To Hetty, Sam, And Callen Revealed!

NCIS: LA season 5 major spoilers alert! Deeks [Eric Christian Olsen] and Kensi [Daniela Ruah] will have to deal with the "night they spent together," according to Shane Brennan as he told TVLine.

Recently, it has been revealed that the "Deeks/Kensi" love team will go through a bumpy ride.

Executive Producer Shane Brennan recently revealed some interesting details on what this "major problems" could be.

According to the report, it looks like Kensi will return from Afghanistan carrying a huge baggage that can affect not only her relationship with Deeks, but also her relationship with the entire team.

"The story that we've come up with in Afghanistan will impact both Kensi and Deeks in a totally unexpected way. It impacts on the rest of the team, as well. We've been slowly revealing what her mission is, and when it comes time to complete it, something major happens. Something that shocks everyone and puts Kensi in an enormous amount of jeopardy. And then we have to deal with the consequences of that," said Brennan to TVLine.

The EP also revealed that Kensi/Deeks will have to deal/face the events that happened when they spent the night together. Brennan also made some hints that there's probably a chance something happened between the two that night.

"At the same time she [Kensi] and Deeks are dealing with the reality of that night they spent together - and I'm not saying anything happened, though it certainly looks that way."

The Executive Producer of NCIS: LA season 5 also revealed more interesting details on what "major issue" Kensi will go through after her Afghanistan trip. He told TVLine that Kensi will experience a trauma, much like the one Deeks experience at the first part of the season and that Deeks and Kensi will probably have to deal with that trauma as well.

"We're going to certainly play with their emotional stability. One of the interesting themes for Deeks and for Kensi to deal with, at the beginning of this season, was the trauma that Deeks went through after being tortured [in the Season 4 finale], how he was going to cope with that. What we do with Kensi when she comes back is put her through that same emotional trauma that Deeks went through. I'm not saying she gets tortured, but....," revealed Brennan.

But...? Could this mean someone [if not Kensi] will get tortured?

On a different topic, Brennan also shared some details on the role Danny Trejo will play on the show.

Last year, it was reported that Trejo has been casted as a guest star for NCIS: LA season 5.

According to reports, Trejo's episode will air on February 25.

Brennan revealed that Trejo's role will have something to do with how Callen and Sam first met [or first became partners?]. However, the EP revealed the episode is not going to be a "flashback" episode.

"It's not a flashback, but more of a "flash story back"...? I don't think that's a word. [Laughs] We don't flash back and see them in that situation, but we discover how they first met. It involved a character called Tuhon, played by Danny Trejo, and an unresolved case. Here we are, six years later, and Tuhon's back in circulation, back on their radar, and we discover a whole lot more about that character than they ever knew when they first went after him," Brennan said.

But it looks like there's more to Trejo's role as Brennan said his role will have some connection to Hetty.

"What we learn is that he has a very close connection to Hetty. So you've got Danny Trejo... and Linda Hunt. [Chuckles] And their scenes are fantastic. Danny loves this kind of stuff, because he gets a little... I wouldn't say "typecast," but people have an expectation. So it's great to be able to turn that expectation on its head."
