Android 4.4 Kit Kat Release Date: Newest Update Arriving To HTC One Developer Edition And Unlocked Models, Moto X For T-Mobile Gets Version 4.4.2 As Well

The Android 4.4 Kit Kat release date may have rolled out in a number of devices already, but a lot of people are still complaining about particular performance issues, especially those involving the camera. That is why Google has already released two minor updates, 4.4.1 and 4.4.2.

Now, owners of the HTC One unlocked version and the Developer Edition can now get the 4.4.2 update via OTA. The new version brings a number of features including new BlinkFeed options which enable users to completely turn it off, Sense 5.5, new UI settings, and a new gallery app.

Other changes brought by the update include a fresh lockscreen, a better music app, and the full screen immersive mode that enables you to hide both the top notification bar and the navigation bar below.

On the other hand, the 4.4.2 update for the T-Mobile Moto X is expected to be released any time now. A leaked build for the update has recently surfaced, further confirming the release for Motorola's flagship device.

Just check the 'About Phone' settings tab on your Moto X phone in order for it to receive the update as soon as it becomes available.
