LG G Pro 2 Release Date: Korean Company Unleashes Android Phablet With Monster Specs, Boasts 5.9" Display, 3GB RAM, Quad-Core CPU, 13MP Shooter, Android KitKat

For the past couple of months, the LG G Pro 2 release date has been leaked and rumored. That is because the Optimus G Pro successor has become one of the most anticipated handsets this season.

However, it looks like it aims to get a headstart as the Korean manufacturer launched it a couple of weeks before MWC.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the LG G Pro 2 has just been made official, and it truly is a wonder to behold. Sporting a similar design to the critically-acclaimed G2, the G Pro 2 is certainly a high-end smartphone with class.

The Android-powered handset boasts some pretty monstrous specs which include a 5.9-inch IPS display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, a quad-core CPU clocked at 2.26GHz, 3GB of RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, 16GB or 32GB internal storage options, and a microSD card slot.

The G Pro 2 also has the basic connectivity options such as Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, and LTE-a.

The LG device is also powered by a 13MP primary camera that supports optical image stabilization and is able to capture 4K videos at 120fps - which is very impressive by today's standards. There is also a 2.1MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

The handset runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat out of the box and is powered by a removable 3,200mAh battery.

The phone will be available in several color options including black, white and titanium.

Availability and pricing details for the device are still not available at the moment. But we'll let you know once they come out.
