'Devious Maids' Season 2 Filming On Hold? Atlanta’s Weather Pushes Lifetime Series To Take A Break
"Devious Maids" season 2 filming was put on hold on Wednesday because of the severe snow that descended upon Atlanta, E! News reported.
According to the publication, not only the show "Devious Maids" was affected, as production for "The Vampire Series," "The Originals," and "Drop Dead Diva" were also affected.
Lifetime ordered a break in production shoot of "Devious Maids" due the ice storm, which according to Christian Science Monitor has converted Atlanta into a huge parking lot as roads were empty, with some Twitter users likening the scene to the Zombicalypse of the TV hit series "Walking Dead"
In January this year, thousands of motorists were standed in traffic gridlock with 2.6 inches of snow fell in Atlanta.
However, production for "Devious Maids" season 2 will only last on Wednesday,TheWrap claimed.
Lifetime's "Devious Maids" season 2 "is currently shooting Episodes 202 and 203," an ABC Studios representative told TheWrap.
"Devious Maids" season 2 is set for 13 episodes. The premiere episode will be directed by "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Langoria, who also executive produces the show. It is her directorial debut and will be shown on April 20. 2014.
According to TVbythenumbers.com, "Devious Maids" is most popular among the women demographic in its Sunday time period. Its final episode in September generated three million total viewers, propelling the series to the top of Lifetime Channel's best drama shows for 2013.
"Devious Maids" revolves around five maids who are all serving in the households of wealthy and influential families in Beverly Hills.
In last season's conclusion of "Devious Maids," Rosie was arrested by immigration agents while Zoila and Valentina had a falling out. In season 2, a wave of crimes hits Beverly Hills which will have repercussions on residents. Marisol meanwhile will have a new lover but he's not what he seems. Valentina will be working with a new employer while Carmen is thrust into the spotlight after snagging a pop star for a fiancé.
