LG G3 Release Date Expected To Fall At Mobile World Congress 2014, New Rumor Claims Upcoming Flagship Device Will Get Eye Or Fingerprint Sensor

For the past couple of months, the LG G3 release date is among the top things Android fans are waiting for. Now, there are more reasons why you should be waiting for it as well.

According to a report by TechnoBuffalo, Korean website ZDNet reported that the company itself said through its executives that LG is "considering all possibilities". The reply came in when reporters asked them whether the upcoming LG flagship device will have a fingerprint or eye-scanning technology.

If this rumor ever becomes factual, especially the eye-scanner feature, we could see a tough competition for perennial favorites Apple and Samsung.

Even without the alleged specs, the G3 is already shaping up to be a beast in the mobile market. Some of its rumored specs include a 5.5-inch display with 2K or QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution, an octa-core processor from an unknown manufacturer, probably LG itself, 3GB of RAM, and Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

Considering that Samsung's Galaxy S5 allegedly has 20MP primary camera, LG should probably do the same thing with the G3, though it may be too late. Still, 16MP is pretty solid if it has optical image stabilization.

LG has already taken care of the G Pro 2 and has announced the device ahead of the MWC. Will the Korean company do the same thing for this high-end Android-powered handset?
