TaeTiSeo’s (SNSD) Original Team Name was TTS?

Girl group Girls’ Generation sub-unit TaeTiSeo revealed the secret behind their name.

TaeTiSeo made an appearance on May 7 broadcast of MBC FM4U’Sweet Sorrow’ with members Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun.

TaeTiSeo was asked “Did the members get a chance to express your opinion in the unit name?” to which the girls unanimously stated, “No not at all.”

Seohyun continued, “As we are the first official sub-unit of Girls’ Generation there were a lot of thought put into the name. Since its Girls’ Generation we couldn’t come up with a completely new name but then that doesn’t mean we can come out just as Girls’ Generation either.”

She continued, “We were asked how about TTS? Since it’s taking the first initial of Taeyeon, Tiffany, Seohyun wouldn’t it be easy for people to recognize the name? However we said ‘No TTS is not it,’ then we thought more what else there would be. If you look at our schedule chart as we have 9 members when we have schedule as Taeyeon, Tiffany, Seohyun it would say ‘Taetiseo appearance.’ Then it was said ‘TaeTiSeo is good.’”

Then other members stated a timid complaint, “It’s not a schedule chart... Thank you!”
