Free Games For Xbox Live Gold Members: Techland's “Dead Island” Available Only Until Tomorrow, February 15; Microsoft Offers Free Limited Time Subscription This Weekend

Get "Dead Island," one of the two free games for Xbox Live Gold members this month until tomorrow, February 15.

Microsoft announced that the two free games for Xbox Live Gold members coming for the month of February are "Dead Island" and "Toy Soldiers: Cold Wars."

"Dead Island" is the first free game for Xbox Live Gold members to become available. The open-world zombie-murdering game has been free for the Xbox Live Gold members since February 1. Created by Techland and regularly priced at $15.99, this free game for Xbox Live Gold members is available only until tomorrow, February 15.

During the second half of the month, the last one from the two free games for Xbox Live Gold members will replace "Dead Island." Beginning February 16, members will be able to download the action and strategy game, "Toy Soldiers: Cold War." The game is originally worth $14.99 but will be available for 0 Microsoft Points from February 28.

Aside from the free games for Xbox Live Gold members, users of Microsoft game console, the Xbox 360, have something to look forward to this Valentine's weekend. According to a post on Geek Wire, owners of the Xbox 360 without an Xbox Live subscription yet can get it for free this weekend.

The post reads, "Starting at 12:01 a.m. PT this Friday and running through 11:59 p.m. PT Sunday, all Xbox 360 owners in the U.S. and Canada can access Xbox Live benefits like entertainment apps and multiplayer gaming for free. Microsoft ran a similar promotion last April."

Unfortunately, the offering does not apply to Xbox One owners. A Microsoft spokesperson shared, "we'll have more to share in the future for similar offers for Xbox One."

For those who are interested to get a 12-month Gold subscription, Microsoft is currently offering it for only $39.99 from its normal price of $59.99.
