‘The Evil Within’ Release Date Set For August 2014; Bethesda’s Survival Horror Game Available For PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4 And PS3

"The Evil Within' release date has been revealed.

Bethesda Softworks recently announced "The Evil Within" release date via its official blog site. Accordingly, The Evil Within release date in the US is set for Tuesday, August 26 and three days after, it will arrive in European countries.

Bethesda also showcased the final packaging for "The Evil Within" via a post from Vine. Watch it below:

The survival horror title from led by the game director Shinji Mikami of Resident Evil will be available for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. According to a post on Computer And Video Games, The Evil Within is the first title from Tango Gameworks, founded in 2010 by Mikami, and then later acquired by the Bethesda owner, ZeniMax Media.

The gameplay for "The Evil Within," as described on TechSpot, reads:

Gamers will play the role of Detective Sebastian Castellanos as he investigates a mass-murder crime scene at an asylum. This is where the journey begins and life goes from normal to hellish in the blink of an eye. Players will need to hoard resources and use extreme caution as they fight to stay alive and figure out what is going on.

Moreover, the official press release for the game reads, "...The Evil Within embodies the meaning of pure survival horror. Highly-crafted environments, horrifying anxiety, and an intricate story are combined to create an immersive world that will bring you to the height of tension. With limited resources at your disposal, you'll fight for survival and experience profound fear in this perfect blend of horror and action."
