Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date Revealed In June? E3 Expo Slates As Likely Announcement Venue

Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy XV information, including possible release dates, is expected to be announced at the E3 2014 conference in June, Examiner.com reports.

Square Enix producer Yoshinori Kitase also disclosed to the site that the company is paying close attention to both games and that the development of one does not deter the other, Examiner also reports.

"We can't give too much information but certainly looking at Final Fantasy XV, it's not as if it's in competition with Kingdom Hearts 3 for resources or anything like that. It's quite far into development now and it is being given a very high priority within the company itself, but that doesn't mean Kingdom Hearts isn't," Kitase said during an interview, according to the site.

A Change.org petition for Kingdom Hearts 3 to be launched for the Wii U has surfaced, Gameranx.com reports - it remains unknown, however, if Square Enix will consider announcing a release date for the console.

"Among the petitions for multiplayer games to come to Wii U, perhaps the most prominent  and well known is for Guilty Gear Xrd Sign.,"

"This one was started by Laer HeiseiRyuu and currently has 8,184 signatures. Other top contenders include Dead Rising 3, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Soulcalibur II HD Online, Battlefield 4, and Minecraft."

Gamers are predicting that Kingdom Hearts 3's release date version will include drive forms as in previous games, GamingBolt.com reports.

A Redditor going by KouriKustoms has put together a scale chart based on the characters and weapons in the Kingdom Hearts series of games, including KH1, KH2 and Birth by Sleep, Gameranx.com reports.

The chart comes with approximate real-world sizes, giving viewers a good glimpse of the size these weapons would be if they actually existed, Gameranx.com also reports.

Square Enix released a statement to Silioncera clearing up recent rumors about an end-of-year release date, giving many the impression 2015 seems a more accurate year for a Kingdom Hearts 3 release date.

"We're aware an internal document has been in circulation listing release dates for select Square Enix titles. This information contained in this document is inaccurate and features placeholder timing," a representative stated, according to the site.

"Specifically - no announcement has been made to date for Kingdom Hearts III and Final Fantasy XV - their projected release window remains to be advised."
