Android 4.4 Kit Kat Release Date Now Rolling Out To HTC One Max, One Mini, Brings Transparent Notification Bar, System Tweaks And Improved Performance

HTC has been doing a great job lately with the announcement of the Android 4.4 Kit Kat release date for its current flagship. Now, the two other members of the One family gets the KitKat treatment.

According to a new report by GSM Arena, the Android-powered handsets are now getting the latest version of Android as we speak.

Released a few months later than the HTC One, the One mini has been seen as a direct rival to Samsung's Galaxy S4 mini. And surely, that battle is as close as it gets with the HTC handset getting more points in design, while Samsung's wins in terms of overall performance, particularly in the camera department.

Meanwhile, the One max has recently been announced a couple of months back. It sparked interest among Android and HTC fans because of its fingerprint scanner embedded on its back, just below the camera sensor. And while it is still one of the better-looking Android handsets today, its outdated high-end specs such as the Snapdragon 600, 2GB of RAM, and even the mediocre 4MP UltraPixel cameras sparked its doom even before it makes an impression.

Android 4.4 KitKat will definitely improve the system performance of both these devices, especially because this particular version is optimized to run even on entry-level devices.

If you own an HTC One max or One mini, just check for updates in your Android phone. Make sure you prepare a stable Internet connection and a sizeable amount of storage space on your memory card.
