Upcoming Blackberry Phones 2014: Rumored BB10-Powered Handset Surfaces, Boasts Dual-Core CPU, 1.5GB RAM, Adreno 305, Targets Entry-Level Market

The struggling Canada-based company is reportedly working on upcoming Blackberry phones for 2014, and this one may just look like it.

In a report by GSM Arena, N4BB has recently published a number of purported live images of the newest Blakberry handset, known as Z3 Jakarta.

A week ago, we learned that Blackberry has been working with Foxconn to launch a new smartphone, and it looks like it is already nearing completion. In fact, it may just be a couple of weeks away until we officially hear from Blackberry's execs about this BB10-powered device.

One crucial factor for Blackberry is to make sure the phone gets sold, which takes to alleged reports that the Z3 Jakarta smartphone would only cost roughly $150, pitting it against other affordable handsets in various mobile platforms like the newly-released Lumia 525 for Windows Phone and the Moto G for Android.

Some of the rumored specs of the upcoming Blackberry phone include a dual-core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, a 1.5GB of RAM which may be enough for most smartphone users, and Adreno 305 for decent graphics performance.

We are also wondering whether Blackberry would now allow native Android apps on Blackberry OS. That would certainly increase its fanbase, especially those who loved the company's security-rich features.

We will get more details for you about the Z3 Jakarta.
