Upcoming Android Phones 2014: Acer Teases New 'Liquid' Handset, Teaser Image Showcases Fingerprint Scanner

Acer has been one of the emerging suppliers of upcoming Android phones in 2014, and this one may just be one of its biggest offerings yet. 

According to a report from GSM Arena, the PC manufacturer has recently posted an image in several social media websites, pertaining to an unannounced device. 

Complete with hashtags #MWC14, #AcerLiquid, and #smartphone, the posts definitely aims to get consumers and experts excited about its newest Android smartphone offering. 

From the image, we see the back of the alleged Liquid handset. However, what immediately captured our attention is the small portion below the red accented camera lens - a fingerprint scanner. 

While a smartphone getting a fingerprint scanner is certainly not a suprise these days, it sure is intriguing how Acer can meet expectations with this new feature. 

We will all know the answer when the Mobile World Congress kicks in next week in Barcelona.
