Hilary Duff And Mike Comrie Split Will Not Get In The Way Of Making Their Son Luca Happy; ‘Modern Family’ Celebrates Valentine’s Day With A Hawaiian Getaway

Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie's split might have taken place but it wouldn't stop the two from making their son Luca happy. After announcing their separation last January, the 'Lizzie Mcguire' star promised that they would remain friends for the welfare of their child.

The two appear to be taking their promise seriously for they have been recently seen spending time as a family in Hawaii. Rather than spending the day as lovers, Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie opted to have fun as a family on the beach.

The 'Cadet Kelly' star used nothing but hashtags to caption her photo: "#modernfamily #vacation #juicypear"

Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie were married for three years before officially calling it quits. It was reportedly a tough decision for the two who even underwent counseling sessions to save their relationship.

"She felt he didn't put enough effort into the relationship. The pair tried counseling for 18 months but recently he wasn't doing any of the things they'd worked on," claims one source to Us Weekly.

Apart from creating a new album which will be released in the spring, Duff is likewise excited for her newest series, 'Younger'.

"The show will be about a woman who decides to reinvent herself after her husband leaves her and her child goes off to college. The 40-something woman supposedly begins partly living the life of a 29-year-old who begins working in the city and eventually meets Hilary's character, an ambitious 20-something who welcomes the woman to the publishing firm where they work and makes an effort to include her in her social life," reads the show's synopsis.
