Sony Xperia Tablet Z2 Specs Allegedly Revealed, Packs 10.1" 1080p Display, 3GB RAM, Water-Resistant Frame, New Android Tablet Could Launch At MWC

Yesterday we saw an alleged leaked image of the Sony Xperia Tablet Z2. Now, a separate report reportedly spilled the spec beans for the upcoming Android tablet.

In a news report by GSM Arena and Android Authority, known leakster EV Leaks tweeted the alleged details and specs of the new Sony tablet.

Based on the list of alleged specs, the Xperia Tablet Z2 is aiming at current flagship tablets in the 10.1-inch category, and that includes the mighty Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 edition).

First up is the 10.1-inch Triluminous display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, which certainly is not a surprise considering that most high-end devices in this size range get Full HD.

There is also a powerful quad-core CPU, each core clocked at 2.3GHz and paired with Snapdragon 800 and 3GB of RAM for maximum multi-tasking performance. Those who are looking for a reliable work tablet would definitely want to check this one.

The Android-powered slate also reportedly boasts 16GB of internal memory with microSD card storage expansion, an 8-megapixel camera at the back and a 2MP front-facing shooter, as well as Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

In case you are worried about battery life, the Xperia Tablet Z2 allegedly has 6,000mAh of battery which from our experience could easily last an entire day with moderate to heavy usage.

The MWC is only a week away and it would not be a surprise if Sony would launch it during its press events in Barcelona.
