Wonder Girls to Make Official Debut in Japan This July

Girl group Wonder Girls is to make their official debut in Japan at the end of July.

According to Oricon Wonder Girls is to release Japanese debut album ‘Nobody for Everybody’ that will include the Japanese version of their hit song ‘Nobody’ on July 25.

The Wonder Girls made their debut sensation in Korea with their song ‘Tell Me’ in 2007 sweeping the country with ‘Tell Me Syndrome’ all over Korea. The group won the award at the 22nd Golden Disk Awards. In 2009 the Wonder Girls won the Daesang (‘Artist of the Year’ award) at the 18th Seoul Music Awards with ‘Nobody’ beating out TVXQ and Big Bang.

Afterwards the group began their entry into the American market. Releasing the official release of an English version of ‘Nobody’ in the summer of 2009. ‘Nobody’ made a debut on the Billboard Hot 100 ranking 76, making the group the not only the first Korean group ever to enter the chart but to do so in the last 30 years as an Asian artist.

Park Jin Young the record producer of Wonder Girls shared, “Wonder Girls has reached its peaks in Korea and we are now ready to face a bigger challenge.”

“We are excited to meet our Japanese fans,” stated Sohee a member of the group, “Please be excited for Wonder Girls Japan debut album,” added Yubin sharing their ancitipation.
