Hot Pockets Recalled By Nestle After Being Deemed 'Unfit For Human Food'; Two Philly Cheese Steak Variants Being Inspected For Possible Meat Contamination

About 238,000 boxes of Hot Pockets have been recalled by Nestle for they have been confirmed to be affected by the meat recall being done by the Rancho Feeding Corporation. The said corporation is recalling over 8.7 million pounds of beef consumables which weren't fully inspected for possible animal diseases.

Nestle reportedly makes use of small quantity of beef from Rancho in the creation of its famed Hot Pockets. While no illnesses have been reported, Nestle opted to be safe and recalled two variants of its Hot Pockets - the Philly Steak and Croissant Crust Philly Steak and Cheese.

"Our teams at Nestlé have reviewed our vendor records and have determined that one Nestle brand has been impacted by the Rancho meat recall," said Nestle's official statement.

The USDA mandated Rancho to recall several beef products for they have been deemed "unfit for human food". On the other hand, consumers who have bought Hot Pockets can return the product to the place of purchase in order to get a full refund. Nestle's consumer services hotline can likewise be reached at (800) 392-4057 for a resolution.
