Doctor Who Season 8 Fan Trailer Hypes Fans As Karen Gillan Talks 'The Time Of The Doctor' Regeneration: Matt Smith Says Goodbye To Dying Whovian In Video Message!

As "Doctor Who" season 8 continues production, a fan trailer may be the best thing to salvage our patience.

Recently, YouTuber JamesTurnerGaming uploaded a "Doctor Who" season 8 "trailer" featuring Matt Smith's successor Peter Capaldi.

It is quite hilarious, splicing clips from Capaldi's other (far more explicit) work, plus a few "Doctor Who" favorites like River Song and Clara.

So far, the video has garnered over 70,000 views.

Yet despite all the buzz around season 8 and fans' excitement over this trailer, some still miss names like Karen Gillan and Matt Smith.

Recently, Karen Gillan has been taking the media by storm with the release of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" trailer.

During the recent Sci Fi Expo panel, Gillan talked about saying goodbye to Matt Smith and filming "The Time of the Doctor."

“I was so happy! My agent phoned me and said, ‘They want you to come back to Doctor Who,’ and I was like ‘Yes!’ immediately," said Gillan according to Doctor Who TV.

“I think part of the reason that Steven Moffat wrote me into that scene was just so that Matt would have me around for his regeneration. And that was the nicest part for me, just to watch him do that, his final moments in the character.”

Meanwhile, Matt Smith continues to honor "Doctor Who" fans, this time with a poignant video message to 4-year-old Jack Robinson.

Jack has an inoperable brain tumor, according to Zap2it, and upon seeing the video below, "lit up."
