Brooke Burke-Charvet Steps Off Dancing With the Stars; DWTS Fans Didn't Vote To Give Her The Boot; Brooke Tweets: `Weird Day'

Dancing With the Stars is down one star and the DWTS fans never got to vote on it.

Brooke Burke-Charvet won't be back when "Dancing with the Stars" 2014 premieres March 17 on ABC.

DWTS season seven winner of the mirror ball trophy who has been a long time co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet was given the boot.

"Dancing With the Stars" fans didn't get to vote on DTWS's latest surprising elimination.

Brooke Burke-Charvet took to Twitter to say the DWTS elimination was not her choice.

She tweeted "Weird day ... Shocking pre-season elimination #DWTS ...ME. Tom Bergeron didn't even read my name. I won't be returning to the show this season.

An insider told E! that Burke-Charvet had no idea she might be stepping down.

Right before she tweeted, Brook put out a statement to E! saying"I have enjoyed seven seasons co-hosting DWTS but understand the need for change considering the position of the show at this juncture. I've always been one to embrace change and looking forward to pursuing opportunities I previously wasn't able to entertain because of contractual obligations to the show. I've seen my fair share of shocking eliminations in the ballroom but this one takes the cake."

This is the second casting change for DWTS's 18th season. ABC announced last month that DTWS's longtime bandleader Harold Wheeler will be replaced by former American Idol bandleader Ray Chew as music director and composer.

Charvet made her Dancing With the Stars debut on as the season seven winner. She replaced host Samantha Harris in season 10.

DWTS has not said who replace Burke-Charvet, if anyone. Tom Bergeron will keep his job.

The season 18 Dancing With the Stars cast will be announced live on "Good Morning America" on March 4. DWTS premieres on March 17.
