iPad Pro Rumors: 12.9" Apple Slate To Pack Sapphire Displays, 4K Resolution Screens, Keyboard Dock Cover And Eye-Scanning Tech

iPad Pro rumors: We have heard little about the alleged 12.9-inch iPad over the past few weeks, but here are some details we have covered for the past months about the upcoming Apple slate.

In case you are wondering what the iPad Pro is, it is reportedly an upcoming Apple-manufactured slate that will boast a 12.9-inch screen with a whopping 4K resolution - even higher than those found in high-res TV displays today.

The rumors were so believable back then that it may have triggered Samsung to launch its own tablet with a slightly smaller 12.2 screen - the Galaxy Note 12.2 Pro - during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last month.

This month, we have also heard a number of rumors concerning the unannounced tablet, including its alleged Sapphire glass display. A report claims that Apple has everything set to order millions of Sapphire display units for its upcoming devices. We only find out later on from another rumor that those displays are for the iWatch which would be announced later this year.

Several rumors are also pointing to a fingerprint scanner which is not impossible considering that the iPhone 5s already has it. What seems more exciting on the other hand, is the alleged eye-tracking technology that will be equipped to the iPad Pro.

Lastly, the iPad Pro is rumored to be a tablet-laptop hybrid device, which means it would come with its own keyboard cover, similar to the one in Microsoft's Surface slates.

It is almost March and we have not obtained any more iPad Pro rumors lately. Hopefully, Apple is still working on it - that is if it is actually an upcoming device.
