Chris Brown ‘X’ Album Release Date Revealed, R&B Rapper Thinking About Ex-Girlfriend Rihanna In The Twitter Artwork?

Chris Brown 'X' album release date is May 5, 2014. The R&B rapper took to Twitter on Saturday to announcethe launch date of his latest album.

What more, he has also decided to extend his stay in the anger management rehab, even after the completion of the 90-day court ordered term.

Tweeting apparently from within the rehab facility, the 'Bad' rap genius wrote, ''X is by far my best album yet.... Setting the date for MAY 5."

The accompanying artwork or the poster showed a close up of Chris Brown staring into the space towards his right, his face lifted and smoke rising from his lips.

The letter X stands imprinted in red across the cover, hinting that the tracks in the new album could be inspired from the rapper's troubled days in the past 3-4 years, ever since the Rihanna beating incident.

Commenting on his decision to extend his rehab stay, a source close to Chris Brown's mother said in a statement to Hollywood Life, "She thought his decision showed that he's taking responsibility for his actions and showed that he wants to make sure he's 100 percent healthy before he leaves the facility."

Brown and one of his bodyguards are currently facing $3mn law suit filed by Parker Adams for allegedly assaulting him in October 2013.

The Parker Adams assault charges had led to the cancellation of Brown's probation in Rihanna beating incident.

Contradicting his 'Bad Boy' image is the fact that Chris Brown was awarded the "Second Chance at Loving Life Awards" by Los Angeles based 2nd Call group. The 'Turn up the music' singer was allowed a break from the rehab to attend the awards ceremony last week. He couple of posts thanking the 2nd Call group for the awards and also showed off the awards to the world.

Chris Brown also recently hinted at a collaboration with Nickelodeon prodigy Ariana Grande which is touted to be out in March 2014.
