Mobile World Congress 2014 Release Date Schedules: Nokia Normandy X, Samsung Galaxy S5, Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet, Lenovo Yoga HD+; Tablets, Smartphones Launched So Far

Mobile World Congress 2014 release date schedules: Launch of new devices and unveiling of new variants, in both smartphone and tablets category, were the key highlights of the Mobile World Congress Monday. Major tech players including Nokia, Samsung, Sony and Lenovo showed off their latest offerings in Barcelona.

Nokia Normandy X
The Finnish tech giant, whose mobile division is owned by Microsoft, has just officially launched an Android-powered Nokia. Nokia unveiled three handsets in Barcelona Monday morning. The Nokia X, the Nokia X+ and the Nokia XL.

Gotta Be Mobile noted said that as expected all three devices are “budget” offerings and fuses Nokia’s Lumia styling with mid-to-low end specs.

Samsung Galaxy S5
After months of speculations, Samsung’s newest flagship is here. Specs of the new Samsung Galaxy S5 include a 5.1-inch 1080 x 920 Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor and 2800mAh battery. The camera of the Samsung Galaxy S5 has 16MP and provides the fastest autofocus for a handset at 0.3 seconds. It’s expected to arrive on April 11 in 150 countries.

Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet
Sony released a super thin tablet which could go head-to-head in competing with the iPad Air. The company has revealed the Xperia Z2 tablet, a sequel to the Tablet Z unveiled at last year’s Mobile World Congress.

The Sony Xperia Z2 has a 10.1-inch Triluminous screen with 1080P Full HD display, quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It also has an 8.1-megapixel camera using Sony’s Exmor sensor on the rear.

Lenovo Yoga HD+ Tablet
Lenovo’s newest 10-inch slab features a new 1,920 x 1,200 full-HD resolution screen. It also has a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and a 5-megapixels shooter. The device is expected to have 18 hours of battery life and is scheduled for an April release date.
