Nina Dobrev Posts Instagram Photo Tribute, Mourns ‘Vampire Diaries’ Crew Member’s Tragic Death With Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley

Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, and Paul Wesley are mourning the tragic death of a "Vampire Diaries" crew member on Instagram and Twitter. Nina Dobrev posted a photo tribute to the crew member on her Instagram, while her "Vampire Diaries" co-stars Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley took to Twitter to honor her memory.

"Sarah Jones had the most beautiful spirit and a smile that lit up our set for years... https://www.whosay.com/l/GEf7SN9 #SlatesForSarah#RIP," Nina Dobrev wrote alongside her Instagram photo tribute, which contained a collage of pictures of the "Vampire Diaries" crew member and a slate board, which read in the corner "RIP Sailor Sarah."

"Our #TVDfamily lost a loved one," Nina wrote with another Instagram picture of her, Paul Wesley, and the slateboard. "Beautiful soul. A dear friend. I miss you Sarah. You will always be a part of us... #SlatesForSarah"

Sarah Jones died tragically at the age of 27 on Feb. 20, when she was struck by a train while filming the Greg Allman biopic "Midnight Rider" in Georgia, Hollywood Life reports.

Paul Wesley posted a shot of the slateboard with the simple words "RIP Sailor Sarah."

"My heart is heavy-theTVD fam&I lost a very dear sister of ours.An amazing woman,leaving us too soon.Hug your loved ones,hug them so tightly," Ian Somerhalder wrote Saturday.

Sarah's loved ones and friends created a Facebook page following her death called "Slates for Sarah," encouraging people in the industry to pay their respects by posting photos of their slate tributes to her there, Cambio reports.
