Nokia Lumia Black update: Nokia’s OS update for its Windows Phone-powered units is now available to Lumia 620 owners. GSM Arena reports that the youthful Nokia Lumia 620 is now getting the Lumia Black treatment, after the Lumia 720 getting the update last month.

Nokia Lumia Black has been rolling out on other WP8-running Lumias globally since the beginning of January. According to reports from Finland and Netherlands, the Lumia 620 is getting the WP8 GDR 3+ Lumia Black combo update, GSM Arena reports.

The new Nokia goodies in the Lumia Black fix include a new Drive mode, Nokia Storyteller, and the new Nokia Camera app. There will also be two new colors for the night mode of the famous Nokia Glance screen and Glance notifications are available as well. GSM Arena notes that since the unit is only running on 512MB RAM, it will miss the Nokia Refocus and Nokia Beamer.

Nokia Black is built on top of Windows Phone GDR 3 and brings various improvements to the fold. GDR3 also gets Bluetooth 4.0 LTE support and the ability to close apps from the app switcher menu. There’s also a rotation lock include in the new update.

Techivian notes that you can now manually check for the update by checking Phone Update in the Settings. During the Lumia Black Update availability for the Lumia 928, WinBeta said that the download can take a minute or so.
