Install Official Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update On Samsung Galaxy Note 3; International LTE Variant Receives XXUENB4 Firmware Via OTA Upgrade

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 users can now install the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.

The international LTE version of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 can now be installed with the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. According to International Business Times, the N9005XXUENB4 firmware update is currently being released in different regions and countries beginning in Germany.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is originally running with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update, according to the list of the smartphone's specs on GSM Arena. But currently, owners of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE, with model number SM-N9005, can already experience the latest mobile OS from Google and install the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. The firmware is available via Over-the-Air upgrade or through Samsung KIES. To check if the latest firmware is already available, Galaxy Note 3 users can visit their phone's Settings >> More >> About Device >> Software Update.

But since the XXUENB4 is rolled out in stages, it may take a while for the firmware to be available in all regions. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 users who wish to install the latest KitKat update and who do not want to wait for the OTA upgrade can opt for the manual installation process.

Before proceeding with the actual installation process, members need to make sure that their Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the LTE variant of the smartphone. Check the model number by navigating to Settings> About Device> Model Number. It should be SM-N9005.

Moreover, the battery level of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 should be 80 percent or more before installing the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.
