GTA 5 PC Release Date Cancelled? Online Gameplay More Popular, Says Take-Two Interactive

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick said that Grand Theft Auto 5 Online has made the necessity for more GTA Games even smaller, leaving many wondering if they game's PC version and release date may get cancelled.

However, the developer is rumored to release GTA 5 PC later this year.

Gamers awaiting Grand Theft Auto 5's PC version are now able to get a taste of computer gameplay-GTA mod enthusiast Taltigolt tis rying to transform the last official GTA released on PC into GTA 5, Kotaku reports.

These GTA 4 to GTA 5 mods recreatre the terraine of the games, not the missions, Kotaku also reports.

A Czech game retailer's website, SuperGamer.cz, listed that Grand Theft Auto 5's PC release date is slated for June 13, the Christian Post reports.

The site also mentions however, that the post is "a bit suspicious as on the top of the game cover that they posted says 'Games for Windows Live,' which is a name for a set of services and software Microsoft does not use any more."

"With GTA V, we have sold 32.5m units in to date, which is extraordinary. 70 per cent of people that have played GTA V while online have played GTA Online, which is a free-to-play experience. And recurrent consumer spending related to GTA Online represented nearly half of our digitally delivered revenue in the quarter. So people are voting that they want to stay engaged and they are voting with their wallets," Strauss also said, according to the site.

Amazon revealed that Grand Theft Auto 5's PC version will not be compatible for Windows 8, Monitoring Crunch reports.

The retail site posted the PC version of GTA 5 to be for PCs up to Windows 7 only.
